What do you make?

I take pictures, mostly of girls. I used to take only shots with natural light, or with high flash and with very minimal Photoshop.
But in the past several months, I have become more experimental with different camera techniques and Photoshop techniques.

Where else on the web can we find you?

On flickr
On etsy
My photos have also appeared on Debouchette and Fleshbot. There are a few more, I just can’t think of them all.
I’m working on another website as well where I can freely post anything I want, without getting reprimanded by the webmaster for lewd content.

What did you dream about last night?

That I was lying naked on an older man that I didn’t know. He must have been in his 50s. I was very balled up on him.
He was a photographer, and he was holding his camera.
I was telling him that I was in high school, and that my school bus would drive by his house every morning and I would try to peek inside of his house because it was so big.

What inspires you?

Women and sex inspire me to take pictures.
I enjoy having very, very close relationships with my female friends.
I put everything into the relationships that I have. It makes the photos easier to take, and I think they turn out better. And it never hurts to have wonderful friends.

Where do you live and what do you like about it?

I was born and raised throughout my childhood in Louisiana, but have lived in Houston for the past 20 years.
In the past few months, I experienced a job loss and had to move to a very small town outside of San Antonio.
In Houston, I had so many girlfriends that I could meet up with. We would drink Cristalino, tease hair, eat Vietnamese sandwiches, and take photos as long as we wanted.
I have not had the chance to make new friends here, (or at least any that I could talk into getting partially or fully naked) so I have had to use myself as the continual subject, which I don’t really like.
I don’t want a website of all me; that’s boring, but until I can find a willing subject, that is most likely what you will see. I can’t stop shooting!

However, the good thing about living in this unpopulated hill country is that the environment is incredible. You can see every star in the sky at night. (You can also run naked in the ranch behind my house.)

What is your biggest fear?

Heights. Even on top of a ladder I get really clingy, like a piece of bubble gum smashed on a pane of glass. …yet I never fully avoid the situation; it must be the adrenaline rush.

Name a few of your favorite movies \ books \ websites \ bands:

Movies: Ghosttown, Belle de Jour, anything by John Cassavetes -
I love the way he shoots his films in only natural light. It’s a light that I sometimes try to imitate in my photos.

Books: This is really nerdy, but I loved Marie Antoinette - The Journey. It’s her life story. The whole time I was reading it, all I could do was imagine living in Versailles; eating cakes and drinking champagne all day long. (Sounds fantastic- minus the asexual husband and whole beheading ordeal.)

I also recently read Midaq Alley by Naguib Mahfouz. I found it very compelling.

Websites: I check the photos on Nerve and my friends’ postings on Flickr almost every day. For a good laugh, I check Failblog.

Bands- I love Beirut. Listening to them makes me feel like I am in the middle of watching a gypsy wedding march by me in a small Balkan village. If anyone knows Zach Condon, I would love to meet him. Hint, hint.

What are you really good at? What are you really bad at:

I’m good at cooking. I love exotic dishes, and I can cook most of anything. I rarely eat American food. I’m also good at finding humor in bad situations.

I’m bad at speaking eloquently. I wish I could express things with words better, but by the time my thoughts go from my brain to my lips, it’s usually not the same. I’m also a terrible writer.

What is your favorite thing to eat?

Birthday cake, the kind with the lard icing. Oooh my gosh, cover me in it, really.

How would you like to be remembered?

As someone who is immensely fun to be around. And as a good friend. It wouldn’t hurt to be remembered as someone who took fantastic photos, either.

What is the most embarrassing thing that ever happened to you?

Everyday I do something to make myself look like an ass.

I once got stuck climbing out of the side of a wave pool. I was wearing this ugly bikini from the 80s, and the elastic was shot in the ass.
My friends decided to all get out from the deep end ladder, right when the waves started. When it was my turn, I started climbing out on the ladder as well, which was very hard. It was very slick, and the waves were forceful. Halfway up, the waves pulled my bottoms down. All I could do was cling to the ladder with my stupid orange life jacket on, and slowly make my way to the top.
